Improvements over the last three years across all Maths and science subjects:
- Biology: A*/A figure has risen each year from 25% to 29%, to 47%.
- Chemistry: A*/A figure consistently around 40%, while the proportion of students gaining A* grades has risen each year from 4% to 6%, to 19%.
- Physics: A*/A figure has risen each year from 30% to 35%, to 44%.
- Maths: the proportion of students gaining A* grades has risen each year from 23% to 29%, to 48%.
- Further Maths: A*/A figure has risen each year from 50% to 55%, to 88%, as has the proportion of students gaining A* grades, from 0% to 18%, to 38%.
Humanities and Social Sciences
Improvements of note are:
- Ancient History: 100% A*/A in 2020.
- English Literature: A*/A figure has risen each year from 40% to 50%, to 75%, as has the proportion of students gaining A* grades, from 0% to 13%, to 50%.
- History: the proportion of students gaining A* grades has risen each year from 0% to 22%, to 33%.
Arts
Improvements of note are:
- Art: A*/A figure has risen each year from 38% to 57%, to 75%, as has the proportion of students gaining A* grades, from 0% to 29%, to 75%.
