Changes in Term Dates for Summer Term 2020

31 March 2020

Changes in Term Dates for Summer Term 2020 We have been giving some thought to how we can maximise the opportunities for pupils to be in School. It is clear that pupils will not be able to return to the school site as planned on 20th April.

The situation is changing all the time, but it is likely that social distancing and other measures will still be in place well into May. For that reason, we have taken the decision to postpone the beginning of the Easter term until June 1st 2020.

Term will run from that date until August 14th 2020 with a half-term break for a week between Friday 3rd and Monday 13th July.

Should the worst happen, however, and schools are still closed to pupils at the beginning of June, we will continue our system of remote teaching which has worked so well this week. I hope, with some confidence, however that this will not be the case.

The new academic year will begin as planned on Monday 7th September.
