The Ryton Music Festival has provided a platform for music and drama performers of all ages for over 75 years. The festival runs over four weekends in late February and early March. There are varied classes including organ, choral speaking, singing and individual verse.

On Friday 22nd February, Year 13 student Dolly He competed in Class 44 Piano solo open class. She came first and won The Norman Spowart Trophy.

Oliver Sanderson, from Bow, also competed in the festival on Saturday 23rd February in the 48 Piano Grade 1/2, where he came second and Class 39 Boy’s Solo 11 & Under. He came first in the Boy’s Solo and is now the winner of The Tweedle Trophy.

Well done to Dolly and Oliver, we are really proud of you!
