House Music and Drama Festival 2018

14 November 2018

House Music and Drama Festival 2018 Last night saw our pupils take to the stage of the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle for the House Music and Drama Competition. As always, it was a fantastic event with some amazing pieces organised and performed by the pupils.

The first half was dedicated to House Music, with MacLeod in the lead after the Chamber Groups, however it was Pimlico House who came out on top overall after their Unison Song, Mamma Mia. A special mention must also be given to School House, winning an extra prize for their performance of Bruno Mars, Marry you in their Chamber Groups.

After the interval was House Drama, which was split into the categories: Best Design, Best Actor, Best Play and the overall House Drama winners. Best Design was awarded to Pimlico House, Best Actor, to Poole for Jeff’s fantastic performance in ‘The Demon Headmaster’, and Best Play, went to Pimlico House and therefore, Pimlico winning the overall prize for House Drama.

Well done to all the pupils for their efforts, everyone was amazing. But a particular congratulations to Joely, Megan, Christine and the whole of Pimlico House - this year’s House Music and Drama winners.
