Social Life
The role of the Sixth Form staff is primarily an academic focus. Whilst it can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between the two (communication between staff is a vital part of this process) the pastoral side of a Sixth Form student's life falls under the umbrella of the House system.
However, as part of the L6 induction programme (we can have as many as 30 new students join at the sixth form entry point) the Sixth Form staff run a 'Get to Know You' disco and meal for the new L6 students in the first few weeks of the Autumn Term at a local pub/restaurant in the city.
The Sixth Form staff also organise the annual Sixth Form Dinner (Black Tie) that is held in the main school (Big School)
"Our guide's engaging manner, politeness, sense of humour and informative commenting said much about the school and ensured that our visit was both positive and worthwhile."
