Sixth Form Acquaint Event
Tuesday 11 November 4.00 - 6.00 pm
In late October/early November (when we have in the past run our Sixth Form Acquaint Event) many pupils have been very busy preparing for Mock GCSE examinations and have therefore been reluctant to miss a whole day's tuition to attend our full-day Acquaint Event. Therefore, we have decided this year to run a shorter event which we hope will be equally useful to those interested in joining us in the Sixth Form.
This will take the form of a two-hour session in the late afternoon of Tuesday 11 November. It will include a tour of the school, short talks from members of staff with particular responsibility for the Sixth Form and the chance to talk to some of our current students (as well as others who might join us in The Sixth Form at the same time as you).
It goes without saying that we would encourage anyone contemplating joining Durham School in The Sixth Form to request a Taster Day (which could be overnight for those interested in boarding). However, we feel that this might be easier for you to arrange on an individual basis (or together with a friend) at a time that suits you and fits in with your academic studies.
If you are interested in taking part in our Sixth Form Acquaint Event this year or would like to know more about the event, you can either telephone us on 0191 386 4783 (Extension 268) and ask for Mrs Diane Woodlands or you can complete the form below and send it to us and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.

Testimonials
"I have seen my son develop into a nice person and I genuinely think the school has had a lot to do with that. He has made some really nice friends who we hope will become lifelong friends. After attending confirmation classes in the school chapel, he was baptised at Durham Cathedral - an occasion his father and I will never forget. "
Mrs Rich (son, Year 12)
