Rugby Tour to Australia 2006

Rugby Tour to Australia 2006

(07 September 2006)

The 1st XV and an U17 development squad (45 boys in all) and 5 staff spent the first three and a half weeks of July in Australia, visiting Sydney, Canberra, The Sunshine Coast, Townsville and Cairns on their itinerary. The 1st XV won 3 and lost 2 of their games while the development side won 1 and lost 4. When they were not playing rugby, they enjoyed some thrilling sight-seeing experiences, taking in the Sydney Aquarium, the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk, an Australian rugby league game, Manly Beach, The Australian Institute of Sport, a morning’s surfing, Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, white-water rafting and the Great Barrier Reef, to name but a few.

Testimonials

"When you join the school, you get a buddy who is there to help you around the House and she is just like a big sister. I found that I soon made friends with all the other girls in MacLeod and many of the Pimlico girls. So settling in was not as scary and hard as I thought it would be - it was actually quite fun! "
Emily Phillips (MacLeod, Year 9)
