Former Pupils in a Whirlwind

Congratulations to two former pupils, composer Will Todd and Matt Peacock, founder and CEO of “Streetwise Opera”, who hit the headlines in October 2006 term when their newly-commissioned opera 'Whirlwind', enjoyed its world premičre at The Sage Gateshead. What made this production so special was that its stars were homeless and ex-homeless people from Newcastle and Gateshead. Matt and his organisation work closely with the homeless to help raise their levels of confidence, self-esteem and skills. The production was very favourably reviewed in the national media.next event
