Trips and Excursions at Durham School
Durham School pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of trips and excursions at home and abroad.
Some of these are linked to their course of academic study and are designed to enhance or develop what they have learned in class.
There are also trips to the theatre, sports and music tours, as well as CCF camps, Duke of Edinburgh excursions and the opportunity every two years to take part in a World Challenge trip to places such as India, Argentina and Mongolia. There is an annual ski trip to France during the Easter holidays, open to pupils of all ages.
Other recent ventures abroad include educational trips to France for pupils in Year 9 and to Berlin for pupils studying German in Years 10 and 12, a rugby tour to Australia and a girls’ football tour to Spain.

Testimonials
"When you join the school, you get a buddy who is there to help you around the House and she is just like a big sister. I found that I soon made friends with all the other girls in MacLeod and many of the Pimlico girls. So settling in was not as scary and hard as I thought it would be - it was actually quite fun!
