Trips and Excursions at Durham School

Durham School pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of trips and excursions at home and abroad.

Some of these are linked to their course of academic study and are designed to enhance or develop what they have learned in class.

There are also trips to the theatre, sports and music tours, as well as CCF camps, Duke of Edinburgh excursions and the opportunity  to take part in a World Challenge trip to places such as India, Tanzania and Borneo. There is an annual ski trip to France during the Easter holidays, open to pupils of all ages.

Other recent ventures abroad include, a rugby tour to Australia and a girls’ netball tour to Gibraltar, a forth coming hockey trip to Malaysia in 2012, classics tours to Italy, the battlefields in France, geography trips to Iceland, language trips to Asutria, rowing camps in Belgium and Norway, winter walking trips to Scotland to mention but a few.

Testimonials

"Although my wife and I would like to take some of the credit, most belongs to the teachers and the school. Bow is not just a school it is a community, where both pupils and parents are made to feel part of the family."
Mr and Mrs Mews
