Young Enterprise at Durham School
Young Enterprise is the UK’s largest business and enterprise education charity. The programme allows pupils to set up and run a real business. The Young Enterprise company receives support from teachers as well as business volunteers throughout the academic year. Through the Young Enterprise company programme pupils develop products and services to sell both inside and outside the school. It is a practical opportunity to discern how the world of business really works. The experiences and lessons learned as a result of participating in Young Enterprise are valued by universities and employers.
Pupils will have the opportunity to sit the Young Enterprise examination which is nationally recognised by universities.

Testimonials
"When you join the school, you get a buddy who is there to help you around the House and she is just like a big sister. I found that I soon made friends with all the other girls in MacLeod and many of the Pimlico girls. So settling in was not as scary and hard as I thought it would be - it was actually quite fun!
