Rounders at Durham School

During the Summer Term rounders becomes one of the major sports. It is thoroughly enjoyed by girls of all ages and abilities at recreational and competitive levels. Facilities for rounders are good with practices twice a week to improve skills and gain an understanding of tactics.

The 2006 season was very successful with teams winning 21 of their 26 combined matches. Inter-house rounders happens on the last day of the year and is a great way to round off the season.

Testimonials

"I can honestly say that, within the first week, I noticed a change in my son. He seemed more mature, confident and considerate. He is finding lessons most enjoyable and often tells me on the journey home from school, in detail, interesting things he has learned. I did have concerns about the long school day, but this has not been a problem. He is always eager to do any homework, when he gets home."
Mrs Susan Vardy
