Fencing at Durham School
Although Fencing is not an official sport at Durham School, we have four current pupils and one former pupil who have represented Great Britain at Fencing. This huge success has come about through our very close links with Lazlo’s Fencing Club, based here in Durham and led by the world-class Hungarian Master Fencing Coach, Professor Laszlo Jakab. Laszlo’s students have included Olympic, World and National Champions and we count ourselves extremely fortunate to have such close links with Professor Laszlo. Anyone interested in further details of his Fencing Club should visit his website at www.laszlofencing.org or telephone 0191 373 4425.Upcoming Fixtures

Testimonials
"I can honestly say that, within the first week, I noticed a change in my son. He seemed more mature, confident and considerate. He is finding lessons most enjoyable and often tells me on the journey home from school, in detail, interesting things he has learned. I did have concerns about the long school day, but this has not been a problem. He is always eager to do any homework, when he gets home."
Mrs Susan Vardy
