Cricket at Durham School

Cricket at Durham School is the major boys' sport in the Summer Term (along with Rowing).

Fixtures against other schools (1st, 2nd, U15, U14A & B and U13A & B) take place every Saturday and often during the week - examinations and academic work permitting!

The School would consider itself as one of the top cricketing schools in the North of England. Our 1st XI plays regular fixtures against men's sides, for example the MCC and Durham Pilgrims.

Many pupils represent the county at various levels, with the top players going on to represent England Schools and eventually to play professional cricket.

The School has its own residential professional cricket coach - who also runs individual development programmes for the top players throughout the winter. There are 4 cricket sessions per week throughout the Summer Term. The School has 5 indoor nets and numerous external nets.
