Cameron trains with full England rugby squad

Cameron trains with full England rugby squad Our current Year 13 pupil, Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti, had the fantastic opportunity to train with the full England rugby squad last week at Pennyhill Park. Having played for the England U18s prior to this, he was given the chance to experience a full day of training with the First Fifteen thanks to his coach at the Falcons Academy, Aiden McNulty.

Cameron arrived at Pennyhill Park at 9.00 a.m. for the session and was told that Jonny Wilkinson had popped down to help out with the training for the day and was doing kicking practice with Owen Farrell and George Ford – a good start to the day!

As well as training, Cameron had a tour of the ground and facilities, followed by lunch with the team. During the lunch, he had the opportunity to chat with players, particularly England Captain, Dylan Hartley, Maro Itoje and Alex Lozowski to name a few, as well as the Head Coach, Eddie Jones.

As Cameron’s position is scrum half, he took the time to talk with Ben Youngs and Danny Care who share this position and they provided invaluable advice to support him in his training.

Cameron described this as “a fantastic day and an amazing opportunity”. He thoroughly enjoyed the day from start to finish and it has made him even for excited for what may come in the future.
