Are you looking for the perfect venue for your next event?
Set in acres of beautiful grounds with stunning views of Durham Cathedral, Durham School can offer you the perfect venue for your next business and/or social function.
With a fully equipped 65 seat capacity Lecture Theatre and break-out room in our Exhibition Room, Durham School is the perfect venue for conferences and business meetings.
For special occasions, including weddings, indoor and outdoor locations are available, with perfect marquee positioning if required.
We can cater for small and large functions with our main hall (Big School) seating up to a maximum of 160 guests and with smaller rooms available for the more intimate occasion.
As a registered charity itself, Durham School is able to offer special arrangements for local community organisations, clubs and charities, particularly in support of fundraising events and young people. These can include the use of sports pitches including our all-weather pitch, sports hall and swimming pool as well as our music and drama facilities including our own Luce Theatre. Our Exhibition Room, which overlooks our patio and playing fields, is the perfect venue to display art exhibitions, it can also be transformed into an intimate dining room with the warmth of a fire burning in the hearth.
In addition to our main function rooms, we can also provide classrooms and school holiday accommodation for residential courses and other events.
