Holiday Courses

During the longer school holiday periods Durham School organises a number of holiday courses for local youngsters. We particularly welcome girls and boys from outside the Durham School community. These courses are generally aimed at children from age 8 to 13 and are available on a “first come, first served” basis.

Summer Holiday Sports Courses

During the forthcoming summer holidays Durham School is offering a variety of sports courses to suit all ages and abilities. Choose from cricket (age 9+), swimming (age 5+), tennis (age 8+), junior multi-sports (age 5+) and senior multi-sports (age 8+). We are also offering for the first time this summer a Nursery Fun Club (for ages 3-4). This will tell you when each course is running, how much each course costs and provide you with a printable application form. You can also telephone 0191 386 4783 for further information, but please note that we do not accept bookings over the telephone.

Summer Holiday Junior Rugby Academy

This summer we have added Junior Rugby Academy courses to our portfolio of summer holiday course options. The Junior Academy courses are available to children between the ages of 8 and 13.

Each Rugby Academy lasts 3 days and is available either a day or a residential option.

Each Rugby Academy will include a visit from, and a chance to meet, a local professional rugby player.

With a nutritionally balanced diet suited to active, growing young people and first-class facilities in a safe and secure environment, Durham School Junior Rugby Academy is an ideal location to develop your sporting skills. For those participants wishing to take the residential option, there will also be a full programme of supervised evening activities.
