Nutrition
Bow has always believed healthy eating to be an essential part of a child’s well-being and we consider it part of our job to encourage our pupils to eat healthily. This is very much reflected in the meals served here. In addition to the hot options, there is always a wide variety of salad items available.
The display names of all foods are colour-coded in order to make it easier for the children to choose, with staff guidance, a healthy and well-balanced meal.
There is always a daily vegetarian option and all other dietary and religious requirements can be catered for, if requested. Fresh fruit is available every day.
Cooled filtered water is always available and the children are encouraged to drink sufficient water throughout the day, particularly after Games and PE lessons.

Testimonials
"Our son, Mark, has grown up at Bow, Durham School into a well-mannered, thoughtful young lad, going into his "teen"years. At Bow he has developed a keen interest in drama which we hope he will continue to enjoy when he moves on to the Senior School. "
Mrs Christine Dawson
