Pastoral Care
Happy children achieve better and at Bow, Durham School we can offer your child a level of pastoral care that is second to none. We are a small school where everyone knows each other well and successes are celebrated and shared together and any problems are picked up and dealt with very quickly.
At the heart of our pastoral care system is the child’s form teacher who sees his or her charges on a daily basis, gets to know them very well indeed and leads a weekly informal “form period” where pastoral issues can be discussed. To complement this, our morning assemblies regularly cover pastoral issues and there is a comprehensive PHSE programme throughout the School.

Testimonials
"Advait joined Bow (Reception) at the age of four. As he had not
attended the Badger Nursery, we were initially anxious about how he would cope with the transition to his new school. As a result of high quality support, guidance and care provided by the staff at Bow, we have seen a significant improvement in Advait's overall development.
