Bow pupils support England's World Cup Bid
(28 June 2010)
Wednesday 23 June saw England take on opponents Slovenia in the last match of the group stage of The World Cup and provided Bow with the opportunity to adopt the World Cup theme in order to hold a non-uniform day with a twist. All pupils attended school in some sort of football garb for which they paid a fine and helped us raise over £100.00 for a very worthwhile charity - Coco International. A cheque will be presented to our Speech Day guest speaker Alison Curbishly next Friday.
Beat the Goalie competitions took place at break time. A traditional English lunch (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding) was enjoyed and the children were also introduced to some Slovenian Fayre (Goulash and Sauerkraut). And to get everybody in the mood a mini football competition took place before the serious business of sitting down to watch the match. No doubt it was the support of Bow pupils that spurred England on to their 1-0 victory!

Testimonials
"An excellent atmosphere between pupils and staff with a really good House system, great teaching and a fantastic pastoral side. I thoroughly enjoyed attending Durham School and am very sad to leave."
