James and Brandon shine at HMC football event
(18 March 2010)
As defending champions at the HMC NE Regional Football Tournament at Hymers College in Hull, life was always going to be difficult for Bow's U10 footballers but they produced some good football with victories over Dame Allan's, Hymers, Leeds GS and Bramcote. After a goalless semi-final against QEGS, Wakefield they were eliminated in a 'shoot out' - a very disappointing way to exit the tournament. Congratulations to James Hughes and Brandon Joss, two of our youngest players, who performed heroically throughout the day.At the Terrington Sevens Bow were drawn in a difficult group but managed to qualify for the next round thanks to victories against Bramcote and St Martin's, Ampleforth and a draw with Aysgarth. However, the boys' luck deserted them in the quarter-finals as they went down narrowly to Sedbergh (5-7).

Testimonials
"An excellent atmosphere between pupils and staff with a really good House system, great teaching and a fantastic pastoral side. I thoroughly enjoyed attending Durham School and am very sad to leave."
