Janet celebrates significant birthday!

Tuesday 2 March was a very significant day at Bow and for one of its longest-serving and most faithful servants! For it was chef Janet's 60th birthday! Her colleagues had taken the time to decorate the Dining Room with balloons, banners and the odd photograph of Janet in her youth! The whole of the Prep School crept into the Dining Room and then called her in from the kitchen on the pretext of getting her to check the hot plate and, as she entered the room, everyone burst into song.

The Pre-prep then gave a second rendition of 'Happy Birthday' during their lunch sitting.It was nice to be able to give her a pleasant surprise when she spends much of her time looking after us so well with the delicious food she serves up every day. Needless to say she included us all in her celebrations as everyone was treated to a slice of cake at afternoon breaktime.
