Prep School New Pupil Induction

Following an enquiry, pupils are encouraged to visit the school for a Taster Experience, staying for part or all of the day, depending on their age. He/she is allocated a pupil guide for the whole visit, who will show them round and make them feel very welcome.

After acceptance of a place and usually in the Easter or Summer Terms, new parents are sent all the information they will need before their child joins the School.

On joining the School, all new pupils are allocated a guide for their first week at school (induction week). This period can be extended if required.

All parents of new pupils are invited to the School for a special new parent presentation evening, the aim of which is to discuss how parents can work with the School to further their child’s development, with special emphasis on Maths and reading.

As is the case with all parents irrespective of how long their child has been at the School, if new parents have any concerns or worries, they are very much encouraged to contact the School and talk directly to the Heads of Departments. An open and friendly relationship is very much encouraged in this family-orientated school.
