Academic Learning Support
Throughout the Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), pupils are closely monitored and learning difficulties can be picked up at an early stage. Our generous “staff to pupil” ratio in Early Years allows for most educational needs to be catered for in the mainstream situation, with small or individual group work being arranged when and where required. We enjoy the services of a Special Educational Needs expert who can offer both diagnostic and advisory help as well as adding to the Learning Support team and, in this way, problems can be identified and acted upon at all stages throughout the School. Classroom assistants are in place up to the end of Year 4 and, after that, pupils who need support receive it either individually or in small groups once or twice per week. We believe that our small class sizes allow for much improvement to be made within the whole class setting and so the withdrawal of pupils occurs only when we feel that this will benefit the pupils more.
In summary, learning support and specialist advice is available at all points throughout the School, responding to any concerns which may be voiced by teaching staff or parents.

Testimonials
"Thank you for giving Cameron such a wonderful start to his school life. He has so many memories and has made such progress in his learning. Your sensitivity to Cameron's needs was much appreciated - he was quite obviously happy in the Badgers' class. "
