Sport and Activities
Our range of activities currently includes: Beginners' Spanish, Dance, Squash, Speech & Drama, Karate, Handicrafts, Table Tennis, Science, Cricket Nets and Tennis.
In addition we have an activity slot on Tuesdays between 3.30 p.m. - 4.10 p.m. At this time, Prep school pupils can enjoy learning about handicrafts, photographs, chess, campcraft, puzzles and quizzes and a lot more. This list is constantly changing!
We have our own playing fields, cricket pitch and nets, tennis/netball court and a small sports hall. Pupils also make regular use of the swimming pool, sports hall and Astroturf at the Senior School.
Pupils are given the chance to represent the School in inter-school fixtures, with the main games being rugby, football and cricket for the boys and hockey, netball and rounders for the girls. We also take part regularly in swimming galas with other schools to add to our own internal gala in June.
Sports Days for the Prep Department and Pre-Prep Department take place in the summer term.
"School House has done a lot for me in my first year. It has given me a place to spend my time and relax as well as get something to eat, instead of sitting outside or in a classroom all break and lunchtime. It has also helped me massively with my work because I know I can get advice and support from my tutor and Housemaster."
Richard James, Pupil in School House
